Loomis’ Kenna Mitchell has ruled Roseville in the NASCAR Super Late Model and Pro Late Model divisions with a sweep of all four stock car features on the one-third mile speedway. Mitchell has won both JM Environmental Wild West Super Series 100-lap features despite challenges from Roseville track champions John and Cole Moore and Eric Schmidt. 2023 Shasta 125 winner Dane Nissen of Williams gave it his best shot on August 24 during the Summer Classic. Saturday’s race is expected to feature some additional new faces aiming for the trophy and the $3000 prize.

Mitchell’s closest competitor in the NASCAR Berco Redwood Pro Late Model Series has been former ARCA West Series veteran Thomas Martin of Auburn. Despite the pair of wins, Mitchell leads Martin by a scant three points heading into Saturday’s 40-lap feature. The Fort Bragg brother duo of Aidan Daniels and Trey Daniels are third and fourth in the standings followed by Lincoln rookie Adam Kern. Several new faces from the valley are expected to travel up north to try to knock the queen of the speedway off her throne.

A super-sized INEX Legends field is expected for the combined NorCal Legends Series / Pressler Properties Legends event. Their first cross-state match on June 1st brought out 26 entries. Saturday’s 35-lap feature is also an INEX National Qualifier with drivers aiming to stamp their tickets to the Nationals on October 24-26 at Dominion Raceway in Virginia.

A very closely matched championship hunt for the Velocity Solar Modifieds places the top-three cars just eight points apart in the championship, with all three still hunting for their first wins of the year. Luke Kaper of Lincoln has a six point advantage over Lincoln’s Mike Gorham. Auburn’s Brad Cobabe is third. Richard Poppert, Jr. of Rio Linda and Marshel Meadows round out the top-five with a 30-lap contest on tap.

Phil Wilkins of Roseville has won both NAPA Auto Parts Super Stocks races this year to grab a five-point lead ahead of Dixon’s Tim Walters. Benicia’s Ryan Skidmore, the driving team of Gary Eisenhour and Harry Lambert, and Antelopes Terry Thomas are the top-five in the points.

Matthew Fuhs of Roseville narrowly fell short of victory on August 24 but still leads the F4 standings over a large field of full-time competitors. Ray Molina of Elverta is second followed by opening night winner Vic Theberge of Citrus Heights, Rio Linda’s Tony Davis, and Woodland’s Jayden Williams.

Jr. Late Model competition has been split by Chase Lopez of San Leandro and Lincoln’s Kylie Glick in 2024. The drivers ages 10-16 years old compete in a 25-lap feature during First Responders Night. Lopez leads Glick by just one point with Granite Bay High School student Dayton Broyles of Roseville in third in the order.

Activities begin Friday with practice from 4pm to 8pm On race day Saturday, pit gates open at 10:30am followed by a drivers meeting at 11:30am and practice at 12:30pm Grandstand gates open at 4pm with heat racing at 5pm.
